Thank you again to all the followers of White Girl with a Fat Ass who helped me raise $6370 to fight hunger in America since WGWaFA began!

I know I “ended” the blogging on my birthday this year with my Mark Fisher Fitness Birthday Glory challenge and many of you have contacted me to say that you miss WGWaFA.  She’s still here! In fact, please take a moment to check out my latest adventure:

NO, YOU TELL IT! is  a new switched-up storytelling series I’ve been producing in NYC.  Each NYTI performer writes a true life tale and then trades with a partner to present their story.

More pictures and audio from our recent show are up on the site!  As you can imagine working full-time, studying to get my MFA, and producing a storytelling show keeps me pretty busy – but rest assured, much like my Fat Ass, this White Girl will never truly leave you.

{May 7, 2012}   No YOU Tell It!

So I had this idea for a show…  and WGWaFA productions is proud to present a workshop production of:

No, YOU Tell It!

Tuesday, May 8th at 7:30
Roy Arias Studios – Studio 507 (The Mini-Theater)
300 West 43rd street, 5th Floor

Earlier this year, I gathered a group of amazingly talented players with varied backgrounds in theater.  As a group, we work-shopped some original real-life stories they wrote which center on the theme of Religion.

Next, I paired up the stories by both their similarities and differences and then body-swapped them – so that the story written by one player, will be performed by another.

I hope you can come enjoy these 4 original change-up stories with us!  This is a free workshop showing, with a talk back afterwards and I heard a rumor there will be wine.  In true WGWaFA style, we will also be collecting donations for Feeding America to help the 1 in 6 Americans struggling with hunger.   I am $535 away to reaching my birthday challenge fundraising goal!!

If you can’t make it out tomorrow night, please CLICK HERE to donate to Feeding America through my virtual food drive.  If you are interesting in being put on a mailing list for future storytelling shows, or if you are interested in story-switching with someone at a future event please email me at wgwafa@gmail.com.
