Welcome back Free Rice Friday!  We’ve been looking for you nowhere, can’t find ya everywhere. 

Free Rice Friday has been on a bit of a hiatus. So for those of you who are new, this is where we expand our vocabularies by playing Free Rice  and for every word answered correctly 20 grains of rice is donated through the UN World Food Program to help end hunger.

Today’s word MUNIFICENCE = GENEROSITY 

Here is the part where I usually try to create a unique and pithy entry based on the word of the day.  However I wanted to take this time to acknowledge the Munificence of the person who donated $250 to Bare Ass 2008!  last night. 

Giving into my blue mood, last night after work I went home and proceeded to ingurgitate (another free rice word you will have to play to find it) most of a pint of Ben&Jerry’s light cookies &cream ice cream.  notice I had to point out that it was light ice cream to make myself feel better.  I know that eating an entire thing of ice cream is not the end of the world.  Babies won’t die.  But it was a defeat for me.  Food made with love is not the enemy.  Food shared with friends should be enjoyed, especially in healthy proportion.  But large amounts of ingurgitated ice cream eaten solo is nothing but cold and lonely. 

Seeing that jump in Bare Ass 2008! was like a wake up call.  And a total boost to my motivation.  It may seem trite, but this morning I got up early and worked out for the first time all week.  I thank you donor for your munificence and celebrate the munificence of everyone who has contributed to Bare Ass 2008!  All donations to my Charity Badge go directly to America’s Second Harvest through Network for Good.  So unless you choose to send me an Ecard to wgwafa@gmail.com  I don’t know who donated what.  But I thank you all. 

I also want to thank my second life hero Alicia Chenaux for starting the Big Bad Blogger Challenge.  Writing a post a day this week has reenergized me. And Bare Ass 2008! acheived its goal of breaking past the $1240 mark this week.  Just being part of something larger, no matter what life it is in, always makes things easier.  And it was a valuable experience.
