I went to wicked cool seminar today lead by Sue Gilad called Financial Freedom is Sexy. While I’ve been trying to embrace the positive as of late, you can also imagine someone self-named White Girl With a Fat Ass has her cynical and twisted side. So the mere fact that I didn’t amuse myself during the lecture by calculating how many calories each of the speakers would be if I ate them, and was actually actively engaged, speaks volumes. Seriously it rocked.
One stellar professional speaker and radio host Sharmen – SHAR SPEAKS – Lane, spoke of setting goals. She listed 3 C’s to success.
- Commit
- Communication
- Create
It got me thinking a lot about WGWaFA’s goals and what I want to accomplish with Bare Ass 2008! And in the long term. But right now I’m highly caffeinated so let’s just start with the three C’s.
- I commit to raise my goal amount for Bare Ass 2008! In fact, I want to raise that amount. And as I said before, shoot for the moon.

- Check back often because I plan to create my ass off while literally working my ass off!
My caffeine high is crashing, but I wanted to capture this feeling I have right now. That I don’t have to wait until some far off time when I am skinny, or a sell a screenplay, or when I raise my goal amount, post my tasteful heiney shot on the internet and thus logically get to meet Stephen Colbert, to be happy. There are plenty of things I can do right now to work towards my dreams.
So far I have lost 12 lbs, raised $555 dollars and that ain’t half bad. For the first time since I started walking up five flights of stairs as part of a couple, and never making it to the top walked down alone, I feel happy. 23 is my favorite number, so it is fitting that on this 23rdday of the month my dreams no longer seem quite so out of reach. (fyi as I write this it is still the 23rd don’t believe the post date) And I’m excited to see where this all goes.
Before you go thinking I finally got it all together, I have admit that in an attempt to look cool at the seminar today I wore this really funky necklace. That I then double looped around my neck. Now I am completely stuck in the beaded chains and can not get it off no matter how hard I try… And thus the journey continues.
Wow, Kelly Jean, Jeff just sent me your link and I am wicked impressed.. and thrilled you had a sassy time yesterday. You were so clearly a standout guest star, I can already see you up ther making everyone fall over laughing as you lead them into irreverence while making a huge difference for others. Let’s make that happen sooner rather than later…see if you can free up this Saturday for a seminar that I am merely attending, we can sit in the audience and giggle. It’s detailed info on internet franchising, promises to be fun if not sexy, and we can have chocolate stashed nearby. I’ll poke Jeff to get you more info.
